Stur crashed out of the DPL
League Cup after losing a sudden death penalty shoot out.
A poor first half performance saw the home side go in at the break 2-0 behind
but manager Matt Morris' half time talk had the desired effect and Stur levelled
the scores to send the tie into extra time. A goal apiece for each side in the
extra period saw the tie go to a penalty shoot out. Both sides missed one of
their allotted 5 and so the shoot out went to sudden death. Boro scored their
first, Stur missed and so it is the visitors who proceed to the next round. |
