A depleted Stur side travelled to Weymouth and returned home with three hard earned points.

The visitors had enough early chances to make the victory much more comfortable than it eventually was. Luke Geddes shot tamely wide when well placed, then Tom Rudd hooked a good chance wide before Geddes again missed when sent through on goal.

In spite of their dominance the visitors couldn't find a way to goal and Andy Talbot had to come off his line and save bravely at the feet of an advancing attacker to keep the scores level at the break.

HT: 0-0

Stur opened the scoring within a minute of the restart. Steve Johnston took a pass from Tom Rudd and coolly placed his shot across the keeper and into the corner of the net. Ten minutes later and Rudd made it two when he fired home from the edge of the box. The game should have been put to bed but Upwey pulled a goal back with twenty minutes still on the clock to make the closing stages more nervy than they should have been before Luke Geddes wrapped the game up in the last minute.

One of the Upwey players seemed to take exception to the Stur celebrations and - climbing out of Ciaran Miller's pocket where he had spent the previous 89 minutes - launched an unprovoked and completely random attack on Scott Bennet, who was presumably chosen because he had his back to his assailant. He threw a left haymaker, then a right haymaker before nearby players and fans joined in with some trying to stop things and others trying to get their own cheap shots off. The looney tune then raced around swinging at anything in a Stur shirt before running teeth first into Matt "Rocky" Lambert's right hand. The referee rubbed salt into the red clad maniac's wound by sending him off then immediately blowing the final whistle, sending Stur home with three hard earned and well deserved points.
