Stur travelled to the Mick Loader Recreation Ground in high hopes of getting back into winning ways, but it wasn't to be and Stur lost for the 11th time this season.

Marshall started brightly and controlled the majority of the first half, but could not find a way past the home keeper.

The first good chance fell to Henson, who beat his man in the box with a smart turn, but saw his shot saved.  Later, a pinpoint cross from the right found Sweetland in the box, who should have done better with a volley from 10 yards. And soon after, another other good move from the Stur right put Henson through one-on-one with the Cranes stopper, who did well to tip Henson's effort just past the post.

Predictably, Cranborne then scored against the run of play.  A Stur attack broke down, and a long ball sent a home striker though on goal.  Maitland did well to save the initial effort, but the ball fell to a Cranborne player who slotted home from close range. 1-0.

Stur continued to press and attack, but were unable to level the scores before the half time whistle came.

The second half commenced much like the first had ended, but as Stur attacked and commited men forward, gaps inevitably began to appear in the defence.  Cranborne took advantage of this and extended their lead with another swift counter attack. 2-0.

Bowmer brought on attackers; Pathak and Lane to bolster the forward line.  Stur continued to have chances to get back into the game, but too often the final ball or shot was not good enough.

As the second half went on, Cranborne enjoyed more possession and finished off the tie with 3 more goals.

An improved performance from Marshall, but a lack of cutting edge in front of goal once again proved to be the difference.  Stur slip to 11th place in the DPL.

Final Score 5-0.
