Maitland is well respected within the club as seen as an ideal replacement for 'Geordie Kev', who announced his resignation from the roll last week.  

Sturminster Marshall have also named James Foster (aka Fozzy) as the new Second Team Manager. 

James has been associated with the club for many years; playing for the senior sides and coaching at youth level.

Both managers have been busy planning for next year and have already indicated that they intend to bring in new players ahead of next seasons campaign to bolster the existing squad.
