Although we haven’t being playing, things have not stood still off the pitch with Kev busy planning for next season already.  Obviously things have not gone so well this season as last but the second season is always more difficult, unfortunately the bad weather hit us at the wrong time as we had just picked up a couple of good results against Poole Borough and looked to be turning the corner. The team must look to try and carry on this form against today’s visitors Portland United, our visitors today currently sit top of the DPL and are looking hot prospects for the title as well as that they also top our league cup group. We have already been to Portland twice this season and have come back with our tails between our legs especially after our drubbing in the senior cup.  Hopefully with home advantage today the boys will turn in a good performance.

David Hounsell who joined the club at the beginning of the month from Cobham Sports is still waiting to make his debut, but will have to wait a further two weeks as he is cup tied and DPL representative side plays next week, with all league fixtures postponed.  David is excellent footballer who can play in midfield or at the back will be big signing for the club.

I hope you enjoy today’s game and I look forward to seeing you all in the pub afterwards, Jim if your reading this mine’s a pint a lager!

Paul
